CVV2/CVC2

Bei der Kartenprüfnummer – bei Visa Karten CVV 2, bei Mastercard Karten CVC2 genannt – handelt es sich um ein zusätzliches Sicherheitsmerkmal auf Zahlungskarten. Die Nummer soll die Nutzung von gestohlenen Kreditkartendaten verhindern und macht Online-Einkäufe noch sicherer.
